Port of Humanity Tsuruga Museum tells the story of Polish orphans brought to Japan in the 1920s when their families suffered in Siberia during the Russian Revolution and Jewish refugees who escaped certain death from the Nazi regime in Germany in the 1940s. It has been visited by many people from Japan and abroad since its opening.
